ARCHIVE OF THE EVERYDAY OVERLOOKED is an experimental writing performance that unfolds in real time over extended durations, often days or weeks at a time. It utilizes the native smartphone Notes application as an unconventional platform to explore the intersections of intimacy and banality. Lam shares a Note with participants, who are then alerted each time the Note has been updated. The text emerges from the periphery of life and the everyday overlooked moments between – waking up, commuting to work, on a coffee break, falling asleep, etc. – gesturing at the contours and edges of a self through brief thoughts and phrases coming together in assemblage.
